England: Chelsea FC launches first official Strava club by a Premier League and Barclays WSL club

Chelsea FC have become the first Premier League and Barclays Women’s Super League club to launch an official club on Strava, an application dedicated to the GPS recording of sporting activities, the club announced on 7 July 2026.

The London club, whose Strava community had attracted 700 members just a few hours after launch, will regularly offer "challenges and prizes" to participants.

The first challenge invites users to complete at least 75 minutes of physical activity between 8 and 15 July 2026. All participants will be entered into a prize draw to win the club’s new 2026-27 home shirt.

In France, Stade Brestois 29 became the first Ligue 1 McDonald's club to launch a similar initiative on 26 November 2025. As of 7 July 2026, the Breton club’s Strava community had 3,732 members. The Ligue…
