FC Barcelona: former president Joan Laporta (2003-2010) announces he will run again on 18/07/2015

Joan Laporta announced his candidacy for the FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) presidential elections, on 16/06/2015. A member of the Catalonian assembly since 2010, he served as the president of the Spanish club between 2003 and 2010.

The FC Barcelona presidential elections will take place on Saturday 18/07/2015. They follow the term resignation of Josep Maria Bartomeu, the current president, on 09/06/2015. Josep Maria Bartomeu announced on 07/01/2015 that the elections for president, initially scheduled for the end of the 2015-16 season, would be brought forward to the end of the 2014-15 season.
