The European football market generated record revenue of €40.2bn during the 2024-25 season, up 6% from €38bn in 2023-24, according to the 2026 edition of Deloitte UK's Sports Business Group's Annual Review of Football Finance, published by the audit and advisory firm on 8 July 2026.

According to Deloitte, this increase was driven in particular by the revamp of UEFA's European club competitions introduced from the 2024-25 season.

The €40.2bn breaks down as follows:
• 53.7% (€21.6bn) for the top divisions in the European Top 5 countries (Bundesliga, LALIGA EA Sports, Ligue 1 McDonald's, Premier League and Serie A Enilive);
• 21.1% (€8.5bn) for the top divisions in countries outside the Top 5;
• 11.7% (€4.7bn) for FIFA, UEFA and national federations combined;
• 10.9% (€4.4bn) for Top 5 leagues…
