Ligue 1: OL Groupe announces the success of its capital increase of €53m

The board of directors of the OL Groupe, the holding company which owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1), announced the success of the capital increase with shareholder’s preferential subscription rights for a total amount of approximately €53m, on 17/06/2015.

The total proceeds of the transaction, premium shares included, came to €52,965,144 and resulted in the issuing of 33,103,215 new shares at a price of €1.60. The OL Groupe share capital after the capital increase amounted to €70.44m, divided into 46,344,502 shares of €1.52. The share value of the OL Groupe has undergone a sharp decline in the last three months, it was €7.15 on 07/04/2015 and stood at €1.98 on 17/06/2015.

The capital increase will primarily aim to finance the construction of new training and development centres together in Meyzieu and Décines, just outside Lyon, and adjacent to the new Grand Stade de Lyon, as well as development work and interior design of the Grande Stade.
