The price of a 20-second commercial broadcast on M6 during the cooling breaks of the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final between France and Spain has been set at €390,000 (gross, excluding VAT), marking a record rate for French television, according to advertising rates published by M6 Unlimited, the advertising sales house of the M6 Group, ahead of the match.

A previous record had already been set during the France-Morocco quarter-final (2-0, on 9 July at 22:00 CET), when the most expensive commercial was also priced at €345,000 during the cooling breaks. The match also delivered the best audience of the year for French TV with an average of 16.09 million viewers and a 72.8% audience share on M6, according to Médiamétrie.
