France - Spain (0-2), the first semi-final of the 2026 World Cup, drew an average of 20.24 million viewers on the private free-TV channel M6 in France, on Tuesday 14 July 2026 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie.

This figure represented the best audience of the year in France and an audience share of 73.1 %. The match also drew an average of 878,000 viewers on the pay-TV channel beIN SPORTS 1.

In Spain, the match drew an average of 13,17 million viewers on the free-TV channels La 1 (12,71 million) and Teledeporte (460,000) of RTVE group, according to data from the audience measurement institute Kantar. Cumulative audience share: 73,8 % (71,2% and 2,6%). Including the figures from the local-TV channel La 2 Cat, total viewership reached 13.5 million viewers with an overall audience share of 75.7% on RTVE. This is Spain’s most-watched World Cup match ever and the best TV audience in Spain since the Euro 2024 final, according to the Spanish public audiovisual group.
