Premier League / Sunderland AFC: launch of Black Cats Membership, a new programme from the 2026-27 season

Sunderland AFC (Premier League) has launched "Black Cats Membership", a new programme "designed to bring every supporter closer to the club, wherever in the world they follow from," the club announced on 14 July 2026.

This initiative comes as Sunderland—promoted to the Premier League for the 2025-26 season—finished seventh in the standings, thereby qualifying for the Europa League for 2026-27. It is only the second time in the club's history that it has qualified for a European competition (having played four matches in the Cup Winners' Cup in 1973-74).

The new membership programme is available through three offers:
• "Season Ticket Plus": £20 per season (€23.50);
• "Black Cats - Adults": £48 per season (€56);
• "Black Cats Academy": £30 per season (€35).
