2026 World Cup / Spain - Argentina final: $50m in prize money to the winners, $33m to the runners-up

Spain (Real Federación Española de Fútbol), who defeated France 2-0 in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup, and Argentina (Asociación del Fútbol Argentino), who beat England 2-1, have qualified for the final of the tournament (on 19 July, kick-off at 21:00 CET). As a result, both federations are guaranteed to receive at least $33m (€28.8m) from FIFA, the competition organiser.

Indeed, FIFA has allocated this amount to the losing finalists, while the winners will receive $50m (€43.6m).

France and England will face each other in the third-place play-off (on 18 July at 23:00 CET). The winning team will receive $29m (€25.3m), with $27m (€23.5m) going to the team finishing fourth.
