60 million people watched the 2026 World Cup across the M6 Group's channels in France, representing "more than 9 out of 10 French people," according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie released by the private free-TV broadcaster on 20 July 2026.

Among the figures released by M6 (Médiamétrie and internal data):
• "nearly 100%" of adults aged 25-49 and 15-34 watched the tournament on the group's channels;
• M6 ranked as France's leading national television channel throughout the World Cup period;
• the 13 best audiences in the history of the M6+ platform were recorded during the tournament;
