The 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, has become the most-watched FIFA World Cup in US history across the Fox (English-language) and Telemundo (Spanish-language, owned by NBCUniversal) channels, the two broadcasters announced on 21 July 2026.

Fox drew an average audience of 7.74 million viewers across its linear and streaming platforms, representing increases of 116% compared with the 2022 FIFA World Cup (3.59 million) and 179% compared with the 2018 edition (2.77 million), according to data from Nielsen and Adobe Analytics.

Telemundo, meanwhile, drew an average of 6.3 million viewers across its various channels for its coverage of all 104 matches, up 143% from the 2022 tournament (2.6 million).
