Telekom Romania, the Romanian subsidiary of the German telecom conglomerate Deutsche Telekom has become a major partner of the FRF until December 2016, announced the Federation on 15/06/2015. The contract includes the option to extend the partnership until 2018.

The estimated amount of €1m per year represents "the largest commitment of the brand in the sports market", said Razvan Burleanu, the president of the FRF, on 15/06/2015. The Romania Telekom brand has been present on the domestic market since 2014, following the acquisition of Romtelecom and Cosmote România by Deutsche Telekom.

The Romanian federation will receive a bonus if the team qualify for Euro 2016. The operator's logo will notably appear on the chest area of the training kit.
