CAS: hearing scheduled for 8 October 2026 in Lausanne (SUI) over the AFCON 2025 final (Senegal-Morocco)

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has announced that a hearing has been scheduled for 8 October 2026 in Lausanne (Switzerland) concerning the appeal lodged by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) against the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) regarding the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final, the body announced on 24 July 2026.

The hearing will take place behind closed doors, as the parties "did not request that it be made public." Following the hearing, "the Panel will start its deliberations. At this stage, CAS cannot state when a final decision will be rendered, but it will not be on the day of the hearing."
