Olympique Lyonnais: John Textor files lawsuit seeking €20.9m before Lyon Commercial Court

John Textor and Eagle Football Holdings (EFH) have filed a lawsuit against Eagle Football Group (EFG) before the Lyon Commercial Court, with a hearing scheduled for September 2026, the company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's) announced on 30 July 2026.

The American, who acquired OL from Jean-Michel Aulas through EFH in December 2022 and chaired the club until June 2025, is seeking "payment of €2.5m allegedly owed under a ‘management fees’ agreement and €18.4m (including interest, amount to be finalised) allegedly owed in connection with a short-term advance," representing a total claim of €20.9m, according to Eagle Football Group, which denounced a "legal battle."
