LALIGA / TV rights: Real Madrid's complaint over social footprint distribution criterion dismissed

Real Madrid CF’s (LALIGA EA Sports) claim to overturn LALIGA’s decision on the criteria for the distribution of broadcasting revenue based on "social footprint" has been dismissed by Civil Court No. 26 of the Madrid Court of First Instance, the Spanish league announced on 30 July 2026.

The general assembly of Spanish top-flight clubs has approved a new method for allocating two-thirds of the 25% share of audiovisual revenues distributed under the social footprint criterion, on 3 August 2023.
