"The global fan base continues to increase each year, with more than 830 million people following the sport, up +64% compared to 2018 figures that marked the first full year after Liberty Media’s acquisition," Formula One Group said on 29 July 2026, following the publication of its 2026 mid-season review of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

Of the 830 million people who follow Formula 1 daily worldwide, 43% are under 35. 42% of the audience are women, with women accounting for three-quarters of new fans.
