UEFA / European Cups: Canal+ Group acquires exclusive TV rights for sub-Saharan Africa (2027-2031)

The Canal+ Group has acquired, from UEFA via Relevent Football Partners, the exclusive broadcasting rights to the European men's football competitions (Champions League, Europa League & Conference League) in sub-Saharan Africa for the 2027-2031 cycle (four seasons), the group announced on 4 August 2026.

As the exclusive French-language broadcaster of the the Wednesday first-pick Champions League match, the Champions League final and the Super Cup for the 2024-2027 cycle, Canal+ has now secured the full and exclusive media rights, in all languages, to all three competitions for the next cycle.
