LALIGA EA Sports: all you need to know about the 20 clubs in the 2026-27 Spanish top flight

FC Barcelona, Spanish champions in 2025-26, will defend their title from Saturday 15 August 2026, when the 2026-27 LALIGA EA Sports season kicks off with the Deportivo Alavés - Getafe CF match (kick-off at 19:30 CET).

The Catalan club will be joined in the 2026-27 Champions League league phase by runners-up Real Madrid CF, Villarreal CF (3^rd), Club Atlético de Madrid (4^th) and Real Betis Balompié (5^th), while RC Celta (6^th) and Real Sociedad (10^th but Copa del Rey Mapfre winners) have qualified for the Europa League. Getafe CF (7^th), for their part, will face Partizan Belgrade (SER) or FC Tobol Kostanay (KAZ) in the Conference League play-offs on 20 August (first leg) and 27 August (second leg) in a bid to reach the league phase of the competition.
