FIFA: CAF Executive Committee "reaffirms its support for Infantino" as UEFA maintains boycott threat

"The CAF Executive Committee unanimously reaffirmed its support for FIFA president Gianni Infantino and thanked him for his continued support for African football over the years. President Infantino, FIFA secretary general Mattias Grafström and the FIFA administration were also thanked for the successful organisation of the 2026 World Cup," the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) said following an online meeting of its Executive Committee on 6 August 2026.
