Eintracht Frankfurt: metro train in club colours unveiled with local transport operator VGF

Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga) and Stadtwerke Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF), the city’s public transport operator, have unveiled a new metro train in the club’s colours at VGF’s Betriebshof Ost depot in Frankfurt am Main (Rhine-Main, GER) on 10 August 2026.

The train will operate on the city’s metro network, primarily on the U4 and U7 lines. These serve Schäfflestraße station, located near the club’s high-performance sports centre.

Its livery features several sports practised within the club, including hockey, handball, athletics, gymnastics, volleyball and basketball. Eintracht Frankfurt claims to be "the world's largest multi-sports club," with more than 160,000 members and over 50 sports, alongside its professional football team. The initiative also aims to highlight the partnership between the club and VGF, which carried "more than 180 million passengers" on its metro and tram networks in 2025.
