France: FC Sochaux announce "an agreement" for sale of club to Chinese Ledus group for €7m

"The process of the sale of FC Sochaux by its current majority shareholder PSA Peugeot Citroën to the potential buyer the Chinese Ledus group has entered a new phase today with the signing of an agreement by both parties. This validates the terms of the letter of intent signed in February, and confirms the planned sale of 100% of the shares of the club," announced FC Sochaux-Montbéliard (Ligue 2) on 18/05/2015.

Ledus, a company which is part of the Chinese group Tech Pro Technology Development Limited, which specialises in LED lighting systems, had sent a letter of intent to buy FC Sochaux-Montbéliard to the PSA Peugeot Citroën group in February 2015. PSA Peugeot Citroën, which founded FC Sochaux-Montbéliard in 1928, announced on 23/05/2014 that it was looking for "a buyer, investor or partner" for the club.

"Peugeot is selling all the club's shares to Ledus for €7m," said Denis Worbe, the president of the SASP (sporting limited company) of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, to News Tank Football on 18/05/2015.
