FIFA: Kevin Lamour, COO since 1 November 2024, dismissed 17 days after opposing FFE project

"FIFA can confirm that the working relationship between FIFA and Kevin Lamour as FIFA’s chief operating officer has ended on 17 August 2026," a spokesperson for the international federation said in a statement sent to several media outlets, including News Tank, on the same day.

The Franco-Swiss executive’s departure comes just over two weeks after he publicly opposed the FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) project, presented on 28 July 2026 by Gianni Infantino, president of the world governing body, without prior consultation with the FIFA Council, the confederations or other football stakeholders.
