2026-27 Ligue 1 McDonald's: all you need to know regarding broadcasting in France & internationally

The Ligue 1+ platform, developed by LFP Media with Endeavor Streaming, will broadcast all Ligue 1 McDonald's matches live and exclusively in France during the 2026-27 season, starting with Olympique de Marseille - RC Strasbourg-Alsace, the opening fixture, on 21 August 2026 (kick-off at 20:45 CET).

Having broadcast eight out of nine matches per matchday during its first season in 2025-26, the streaming service will now offer all Ligue 1 matches following the withdrawal of beIN SPORTS France as the French top-flight broadcaster. The pay-TV group and LFP Media have decided to terminate their broadcasting agreement for one game per matchday (€78.5m per year over the 2024-2026 period) at the end of the 2025-26 season, following several disputes related to broadcasting obligations under the contract.

Launched in August 2025 with more than 600,000 subscribers registered on the first matchday and an average of 1.1 million throughout its first season, Ligue 1+ generated approximately €150m in revenue during the last financial year, according to Nicolas de Tavernost, former CEO of the LFP’s…
