2026-27 LALIGA EA Sports: Matchday 1 attendance (39,290 spectators on average per game)

Matchday 1 of the 2026-27 LALIGA EA Sports season drew an average of 39,290 spectators per game, from Friday 14 to Thursday 27 August 2026. The average stadium fill rate was 87.6 %.

Four matches from Matchday 1 had been postponed:
• Valencia CF - Real Betis Balompié, Real Madrid CF - Real Sociedad and FC Barcelona - Athletic Club Bilbao following an agreement between LALIGA and AFE to ensure sufficient preparation time for clubs whose players returned late from the 2026 World Cup;
• RC Celta - Club Atlético Osasuna due to the poor condition of the pitch at the Abanca Balaídos stadium in Vigo (Galicia), which was affected by a fungus.

These four matches were played from Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 August 2026.

Real Madrid CF - Real Sociedad (4-1) was the game that posted the highest attendance, with 72,226 spectators at Stadio Bernabéu (84,744 capacity), which represented a 85.2% stadium fill rate.

The Spanish top flight recorded an average attendance of 30,849 spectators per game and an average stadium fill rate of 84.1% on Matchday 1 of the 2025-26 season.
