Euroleague Basketball: Abu Dhabi (UAE) to host first-ever SuperCup on 18-19 September 2026

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi, UAE) and Euroleague Basketball have expanded their partnership and announced, on 24 August 2026, the launch of the Euroleague Basketball SuperCup, whose inaugural edition will be held at Etihad Arena (18,000 capacity), on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on 18 and 19 September 2026. The new two-day event "will officially open the European club basketball season."

The competition will bring together four teams that will compete in a Final Four format (semi-finals, final and third-place game): Olympiacos Piraeus, reigning 2025-26 EuroLeague champion, Fenerbahce Tarfin Istanbul, 2024-25 EuroLeague champion, Real Madrid, finalist in the 2025-26 edition, and Dubai Basketball, representing the UAE.
