Australian Open 2027: AO Originals produces reality-style series focused on "six superfans"

Tennis Australia has launched a global call for applications to select "six superfans" to take part in Superfans, a new "reality-style content series" produced by AO Originals for the Australian Open Tennis Championships, the national governing body that organises the Grand Slam tournament announced on 26 August 2026.

Applicants must submit a video by 7 October 2026 introducing their favourite player and explaining why they consider themselves that player’s "No.1 fan". Six supporters will be selected from the applications and invited to attend the Australian Open 2027, taking place from 11 to 31 January 2027. Their continued participation in the series will be directly tied to the progress of their favourite player: each participant will be eliminated when that player exits the tournament…
