Matchday 1 of the 2026-27 Bundesliga season drew an average of 42,650 spectators per game between Friday 28 and Sunday 30 August 2026. The average stadium fill rate was 99.9%.

Borussia Dortmund - Hamburger SV (2-0), on Saturday 29 August (kick-off at 18:30 CET), was the match that posted the highest attendance, with 81,365 spectators at Signal Iduna Park, representing a 100% fill rate. One other fixture, FC Bayern Munich - VfB Stuttgart (5-1), drew more than 70,000 spectators.

The Bundesliga posted an average of 38,822 spectators per game and an average stadium fill rate of 98.9% on Matchday 1 of the 2025-26 season.
