Women’s football: Kerstin Lutz (ex-TEAM Marketing) appointed CEO of Mercury 13

Kerstin Lutz has been appointed CEO of Mercury 13, a holding company for women’s football clubs, she announced on 1 September 2026.

Lutz, who had been CEO of the Billie Jean King Cup since April 2024, joins the company founded in 2023, which already owns FC Como Women (Serie A Women Athora) and is also the majority shareholder of FC Badalona (Liga F Moeve) and Bristol City Women (Barclays Women's Super League 2).

Kerstin Lutz already has experience in football, having spent 24 years at Swiss agency TEAM Marketing, notably as managing director in charge of partnership development and later business development from 2012 to 2024.

She succeeds Victoire Cogevina Reynal, who announced her departure in February 2026, and Mario Malavé, the former co-CEO, who becomes COO of the holding company.
