Serie A: no bids in final sale action for Parma FC, bankrupt club to be dissolved to amateur status

"The (court-appointed bankruptcy) administrators of Parma FC, Angelo Anedda and Alberto Guion, communicated that as of 14:00 CET today 22/06/2015, no offers have been received for the sporting rights of the club," announced Parma FC (relegated from the Serie A TIM in 2014-15) in a statement on its website on 22/06/2015.

The last two groups attempting to finalise a deal to purchase the club, the Magico Parma Spa fronted by the Italian cinema chain magnate Giuseppe Corrado and a second group fronted by the Italo-American former MLB player Mike Piazza, both declined to submit a formal offer citing too many outstanding liabilities and financial difficulties to overcome.

"In the coming hours (and days) the administrators will meet with the creditor’s committee and the bankruptcy judge Dr Pietro Rogato to make the necessary arrangements for the bankruptcy proceedings," said the club in its statement.
