Development: FIFA highlights its support for national associations around the world

"FIFA support makes tremendous impact on island nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis," the international football federation stated on its website, quoting Atiba Harris, president of the federation of the Caribbean microstate "with a population of around 50,000" located northwest of Guadeloupe and independent from the United Kingdom since 1983, on 31 August 2026.

"Launched after FIFA President Gianni Infantino took office in 2016, the FIFA Forward Programme has distributed nearly $5.1bn (€4.4bn) in funding to member associations and regional associations around the world.
