European Leagues: women’s leagues platform adopts regulations and confirms governance

The Women’s Leagues Members Platform (WLM), bringing together the 14 women’s professional leagues that are members of European Leagues, adopted its regulations and confirmed the composition of its management board, as well as Scottish Women’s Premier League Managing Director Fiona McIntyre as chair, European Leagues announced on 8 September 2026.

Alongside Fiona McIntyre, the management board is made up of Elitfotboll Dam (Sweden) Chair Ylva Johansson, WSL Football (England) CEO Nikki Doucet and Liga F (Spain) President Beatriz Alvarez, with their mandate running until September 2030. Members also approved the procedure for the election of a “Women’s Director”, who will represent the WLM on the European Leagues board of directors from the organisation’s next general assembly.
