Puma: Steve Cecchini (ex-Nike) appointed senior vice president sports marketing

Steve Cecchini has been appointed senior vice president sports marketing at Puma with effect from 1 October 2026, the German sportswear manufacturer announced on 9 September 2026.

"Steve brings years of experience building impactful partnerships and creating winning strategies across product, marketing, and the sports marketplace. His expertise will be instrumental as we continue to evolve our sports marketing approach and strengthen our connections with athletes, teams, and federations worldwide," the German brand said.

Steve Cecchini had been with Nike since November 2021, initially serving as senior director, head of strategy EMEA, before being promoted to general manager football EMEA in April 2024, and then to general manager global football in January 2026. He previously worked for US fashion group PVH Corp (owner of brands including Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger) between 2017 and 2021.
