UEFA: renewed partnership with Meta to "strengthen collaboration to reinforce online brand protection"

UEFA has renewed its partnership with Meta (the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger) to "strengthen collaboration to reinforce online brand protection," the European governing body announced on 10 September 2026.

"Beyond brand protection, UEFA and Meta have maintained a longstanding collaboration on content protection matters, working together to identify and address the unauthorised distribution of UEFA audiovisual content," UEFA said, adding that the amount of content infringing UEFA’s intellectual property rights is constantly increasing, in line with the growing digital engagement surrounding its competitions.
