Spain / Telefonica: new distribution agreement for the DAZN LALIGA channel for 2027-2032 (€330m per year)

The telecommunications operator Telefonica, owner of the Movistar Plus+ pay-TV package, has renewed its (non-exclusive) agreement with DAZN for the distribution of the DAZN LALIGA channel for the 2027-2032 cycle (five seasons) in Spain, the CNMV (National Securities Market Commission, the Spanish public agency responsible for ensuring market transparency and investor protection) announced on 15 September 2026.

Telefonica will pay DAZN a total of €1.65bn, or €330m per year (+18% compared with the €280m paid annually for the 2022-2027 cycle). Under the distribution agreement, Telefonica will be able to continue offering all LALIGA EA Sports matches (five on Movistar and five on DAZN per matchday) from the 2027-28 season.
