"It is absolutely essential that the Infantino system at FIFA comes to an end," Bernd Neuendorf, president of the Deutscher Fussball Bund (DFB), told RTL Deutschland channel n-tv on 15 September 2026.

Neuendorf, relieved ("Thank God") by Gianni Infantino’s withdrawal on 1 August of the FIFA Forward Enterprise project presented four days earlier, also regretted that "we were not consulted about this in any way," despite being a member of the FIFA Council.
