UEC: FC St. Pauli (2.Bundesliga) become first German professional club to join organisation

FC St. Pauli (2.Bundesliga) have become the first German professional club to join the Union of European Clubs (UEC), the club announced on 21 September 2026.

"The club intends to support the UEC’s work towards greater competitive balance, financial sustainability and better governance in European football," the Hamburg-based club said.

"The Union of European Clubs describes itself as a representative body for professional clubs of different sizes and from different leagues.
