Euro 2016: EBU acquires the exclusive media rights to the final tournament for 26 European countries

"The European Broadcasting Union has reached agreement with UEFA for the exclusive media rights on all platforms in 26 countries to the UEFA Euro 2016," announced the EBU on 24/06/2015.

The agreement covers the broadcasting of at least 23 games (out of 51) live and free-to-air, as well as magazines and summaries of matches in each country (see list below). "EBU Member free-to-air coverage will mean that viewers from most European territories will be able to follow the complete story of their national teams from qualification to the final tournament," said the EBU.

• "Additionally, another agreement was reached beyond the 26 countries for the radio coverage of Euro 2016 and other UEFA events, enabling EBU radio Members to offer these events to European listeners," said the EBU on 24/06/2015.
