Puma: Fokko de Rooij (ex-Nike) appointed managing director Europe from 1 October 2026

Fokko de Rooij (ex-Nike) has been appointed managing director Europe at Puma, effective 1 October 2026, the German sportswear company announced on 21 September 2026. He will report to Arthur Hoeld, the Group’s CEO, who is temporarily carrying out the chief commercial officer (CCO) duties pending the appointment of a successor to Matthias Baeumer, whose departure was announced on 11 September 2026.

Fokko de Rooij replaces Javier Ortega, who left the company in September 2026. "With Fokko, we have found an internationally experienced leader with a successful track record of leading organisations through large-scale transformations," Arthur Hoeld said.
