Deportivo La Coruña: launch of a "Master in Football Data Analytics"

Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña, promoted to LALIGA EA Sports for the 2026-27 season, and Spanish sports education specialist SBL Education have entered into a partnership to deliver several academic projects, the club announced on 21 September 2026.

The first outcome of the collaboration will be the roll-out, in November 2026, of a 10-month Master's programme (6 hours a week) dedicated to data analytics in football: the Master en Fútbol Data Analytics (MFDA).

The MFDA is built around a core curriculum — introduction to football data, Python for beginners, maths and statistics, SQL and databases, advanced programming and data visualisation — before splitting into three specialisations.
