FIFA: UEFA, Concacaf and AFC seek at least €8.7m for each of 211 member associations

If Aleksander Ceferin (SVN), president of UEFA, and Victor Montagliani (CAN), president of Concacaf, called on FIFA, in a letter dated 18 September 2026, to make "at least $10m (€8.7m)" available to each of its 211 member associations, following the significant profits generated notably by the 2026 World Cup, Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (BHR), president of the AFC, is calling for "a review of FIFA’s reserves at the Council meeting" on 15 October 2026, according to the British newspaper The Times on 21 September 2026.
