FIFA: 2026 Legal Handbook published with new Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players

FIFA published the 2026 edition of its Legal Handbook, "an extensive and convenient source of reference on FIFA's regulatory framework" (document available for download, see below), on 28 September 2026.

"The handbook brings together the latest regulations, legal guides, circulars and related documents issued by FIFA, serving as an important resource for the international football community," FIFA said.

The 2026 edition contains the current versions of the most relevant FIFA regulations, including:
• the FIFA Governance Regulations;
• the FIFA Disciplinary Code;
• the FIFA Clearing House Regulations.

It also features amended regulations that will enter into force in January 2027, including the new edition of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP).
