Borussia Dortmund: Carsten Cramer appointed chairman of the executive board, members' contracts extended

The executive committee of the advisory board of Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) has extended the contracts of three members of the club's executive board early, namely Carsten Cramer, Lars Ricken and Thomas Treß, BVB announced on 28 September 2026.

Carsten Cramer, who is in charge of the commercial, marketing and digitalisation departments and was appointed spokesperson for the executive board in November 2025, has become its chairman. His contract, which ran until 30 June 2027, has been extended until June 2031.

The contract of Lars Ricken, in charge of sport, has been extended until 30 June 2030. Thomas Treß (finance, organisation, legal affairs and investor relations) has had his contract extended by just one year at his own request, until June 2028, after which "he intends to step…
