Peter Willems is no longer CEO of the Royal Belgian Football Association, he announced on LinkedIn on 29 September 2026. The decision was taken by the governing body's management board at a meeting on 15 September.

Peter Willems joined the Belgian federation as director of sports and refereeing in February 2024 and was appointed CEO of the governing body in September of the same year, initially for a term running until 31 December 2025. He was subsequently reappointed for a new term starting on 1 January 2026 and running until 1 May 2028.
