UEFA: €31.5m redistributed to 611 clubs whose players competed in the 2024-25 Nations League

"UEFA will distribute this week, approximately €31.5m to clubs that released players for the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League," the European governing body announced on 29 September 2026.

This initiative forms part of the "Club Benefit Programme" relating to the release of players for national teams, under the Memorandum of Understanding between UEFA and EFC, which has been in place since September 2023 (an agreement originally set to run until 2030 and extended until 2033, in October 2024).

The sum of €31.5m represents the first payment from a total fund of €104m earmarked for clubs making players available for the 2024-25 and 2026-27 editions of the Nations League, as well as for the Euro 2028 qualifiers. A further €140m is set aside for clubs that release players for the final tournament…
