AFCON 2027: SuperSport (Canal+) acquires the TV rights in English and Portuguese for sub-Saharan Africa

The Canal+ Group has acquired, for its subsidiary SuperSport (MultiChoice), the broadcasting rights in English, Portuguese and local languages for the TotalEnergies AFCON 2027 in sub-Saharan Africa, it announced on 29 September 2026.

The agreement also includes the broadcast of the remaining qualifying matches for the tournament organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The Canal+ Group already holds the French-language rights to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations under a separate agreement with CAF. The 2027 tournament will be held across three countries for the first time - Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya - from 19 June to 17 July.
