RC Lens: Laurent Platini (Sportfive) leaves commercial director role, replaced by Arthur Chateau

Laurent Platini, commercial director of RC Lens (Ligue 1 McDonald’s), is leaving his position, he announced on LinkedIn on 30 September 2026. He had held the role since joining the club in March 2021, as part of the partnership between RC Lens and the Sportfive agency.

"I joined RC Lens in March 2021. Stade Bollaert-Delelis (38,223 capacity) was closed to spectators. The world was only just emerging from a health crisis, and I was discovering Lens, its region, its history… and above all its people. A human warmth, generosity and kindness that leave a lasting impression. A rather rare ability to welcome you as if you had always been there. Nearly six years later, I have chosen to leave," he wrote, without indicating his next professional destination.
