Lega Serie A / EA Sports FC Supercup: end of the Final 4 format and return to Italy for the 2026 edition

The 2026 EA Sports FC Supercup, organised by Lega Serie A, will take place at San Siro (75,725 capacity) on Tuesday 22 December 2026 with a kick-off at 21:00 CET, the Italian league announced on 1 October 2026.

The 2026 edition drops the final four format adopted in 2023, which brought together the two Coppa Italia finalists and the top two in Serie A. The match will see FC Inter Milan, 2025-26 Italian champions and Coppa Italia Frecciarossa winners, who play their home matches at the stadium, take on SS Lazio, the Coppa Italia runners-up.

It also marks the Supercup’s return to Italy, where the competition had not been played since 2022. The contract signed in 2023 between Lega Serie A and Saudi Arabia provided for four editions to be held in the country until 2029. Three editions took…
