Liga BBVA: American Robert Sarver, owner of the NBA Phoenix Suns, to bid €56m for 70% of Levante UD

The board of the Fundación del Levante (Foundation of Levante), the majority shareholder of Levante UD (Liga BBVA), has voted in favour of opening negotiations with the American banker Robert Sarver for a 70% stake in the Valencia-based club, reported Spanish media on 23/06/2015.

Robert Sarver, who is 53 years old and the managing owner of the NBA franchise the Phoenix Suns, confirmed to local media in the state of Arizona (USA) that he is making an offer for Levante UD on 21/06/2015. The offer is expected to be €56m for the Foundation's 70% stake in the club, which would value Levante UD at €80m.
