Germany: ARD and ZDF extend their broadcasting rights for the women’s national team until 2031

The public broadcasters ARD and ZDF have extended, through their sports rights agency SportA and from the DFB (German Football Association), their domestic broadcasting rights to matches involving the German women’s national team until 2031, they announced on 6 October 2026.

The agreement covers all matches played by the German team in the UEFA Women’s Nations League, as well as the qualifiers and friendly matches ahead of the 2029 UEFA Women’s Euro and the 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The two broadcasters also share the domestic broadcasting rights, alongside RTL Deutschland, to matches involving the German men’s national team for the 2022-2028 period. ARD and ZDF broadcast half of the matches, while RTL broadcasts the other half (30 for ARD/ZDF and 30 for RTL).
