United States: Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery (TNT Sports, Eurosport) merge to form Skydance

Paramount Skydance has concluded the acquisition of the Warner Bros. Discovery group (parent company of TNT Sports and Eurosport) for a total of $110bn (€98bn) and has merged the two entities, which will now operate under the name Skydance, the US conglomerate announced on 6 October 2026.

In addition to the film studios and various television channels involved, this merger brings together the two streaming platforms, Paramount+ and HBO Max, under the same umbrella. The television groups CBS Sports, TNT Sports and Eurosport are now also part of Skydance, representing "an unmatched sports portfolio," according to the US group.
