Eredivisie: record average attendance (20,251) and audience share (8.1%) after 7 matchdays in 2026-27

VriendenLoterij Eredivisie games recorded a record average attendance of 20,251 spectators and an equally record average audience share of 8.1% after seven matchdays in 2026-27, Eredivisie CV, the entity in charge of the commercial and strategic development of the Dutch top flight, announced on 8 October 2026.

After 63 games, the Dutch top flight has a 95% fill rate, similar to the record reached at the end of the 2025-26 season, when an average of 19,558 spectators attended games, just below the record of 20,030 set in 2024-25.

"With a fill rate of around 95%, the competition is at a comparable level to the English Premier League and German Bundesliga, and above the Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1," Eredivisie CV said.
